BLUE CASTLE SYSTEMS, LLC
"Innovation at every Turn"
"Ideally, all new construction jobs should be this way"
When a typical heating and cooling contractor quotes you the efficiency of the equipment and leads you to believe the new equipment will automatically deliver that efficiency, think again. Not all heating and cooling companies are alike. The efficiency label on a new heating or cooling system tells you only half the story. A Heating and Cooling system will only deliver the label efficiency rating if they are 1) installed correctly, 2) connected to a well-designed; sealed duct system, and 3) properly sized for the house. Most importantly, no one should ever forget your home's duct system. A properly designed and installed ductwork system can help your overall system efficiency reach a 90%+ SER rating. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, typical duct systems lose 25% to 40% of the energy put out by the central air and/or furnace. Some national surveys have determined that well over 2/3 of all HVAC contractors do not size heating and cooling systems correctly. Some contractors may say they are doing these things, but unless they give you a written report with information about calculated heat-loss, heat-gain and proper airflow, they are simply guessing that their new systems work properly. A quality installation should always begin with a professional design. Unfortunately, the majority of the heating and cooling contractors merely size a new system based on rule of thumb rather than completing a professional design. Over-sizing will lead to unnecessary expense to the job's cost and may contribute to moisture-related problems down the line. It takes time and expertise to complete a load calculation and a system design. Many HVAC contractors either lack the necessary technical skills or are just interested in making a "fast buck" and may even try to convince you that this is not important. Our bottom line: we always begin with a Load Calculation, period. “Surpassing your expectations is our goal!”
The value of installing a quality system the FIRST time is often understated. The home’s comfort system is an investment for the customer's sake and its care should be given to a trusted and capable company that uses state of the art and green technology. It is impossible to expect a proper installation and a sustainable system without the proper design, proper installation and proper training of the trade.
We at Blue Castle Systems pride ourselves in being a leading HVAC contractor in this community in green technology design concepts. We have supported and promoted green building technology since our inception, back in 2002. We did not go green per se; we have always been green. Matter of fact, we have been already installing hybrid systems long before this term was fashionable. We have introduced and integrated many new innovative ideas and we continue to be progressive in our thinking for better and a greener way. We consider ourselves experts in our field and offer solutions many of our competitors are not aware of or experienced enough to attempt. We approach a building holistically, considering the entire house. We see the house as a system, and when you do one thing, there are reactions and consequences in other parts of the house.
High Performance Systems can be summed up in one name: Blue Castle Systems. We go far beyond what is required by contractors, inspectors and state codes officials because at the end of the day, if the house does not perform, that is a problem we cannot live with. It is our job to make sure that the house gets finished right on time and a job well done in spite of the pressures and hassles. We know in advance that it is going to perform properly (because it is professionally designed) and that we are going to knock your socks off.
One of our BlueCastle Advantage Guarantees is our comfort pledge. We pledge that your temperature at the thermostat is guaranteed not to vary more than two and a half degrees from the center of any conditioned room within the thermostat's zone. We have not had a house where this is not true yet. Every HVAC contractor can talk about being energy-efficient and technology advanced, but guaranteeing a heating and cooling system to be the most efficient system is putting real skin in the game! We are the front-runners in High Performance Systems: the most energy efficient systems, the most comfortable systems, and the most sustainable systems.
Some of our specialties are:
- Hydronic heating & cooling systems
