BLUE CASTLE SYSTEMS, LLC
"The Professional's Choice"
The value of installing a quality system the FIRST time is often understated. You heard these phrases before: you get what you pay for or if it seems too good to be true, it is. Bargains do not exist in home comfort system designs! (If you are not a HVAC expert, make sure you hire one to work for you based on the following). You only get one chance to do it the right way (unless you have the money to rip it out and start over again) and the best time is always from the beginning. The point here is to research your subcontractors (HVAC contractors) beyond the estimate price. Quality costs more from the start and you can expect the low bid will eventually do the same (when the inevitable repairs and the number of unhappy customers call back). Home comfort systems are an investment, its care ought to be entrusted to a capable company that is knowledgeable and an expertise in all areas of Heating and Cooling systems that use state of the art technology. It is impossible to expect a proper installation and a sustainable system without the proper design, proper installation, and proper training of the trade. Some national surveys have determined that well over 70% of all HVAC contractors do not size heating and cooling systems correctly. A quality installation should always begin with a professional design. Unfortunately, the majority of the heating and cooling contractors merely size a new system based on rule of thumb rather than completing a professional design (it is faster to skip the load calculations and use the rule of thumb). Does it compromise comfort and efficiency quality? Absolutely. It takes time and expertise to complete a load calculation and design a system. Many HVAC contractors either lack the necessary technical skills or are just interested in making a "fast buck" by cutting corners and may even try to convince you that this is not important or necessary. Over-sizing will lead to unnecessary expense to the job's cost and may contribute to moisture-related problems down the line. Many HVAC contractors simply don't understand that the system has to be sized right to dehumidify well. They are afraid of under-sizing the system because they dont' want their customers to complain about being hot in the summer or over-sizing the furnace for winter. It pains me to see what a quality system by many of my HVAC competitors consider. Too many times, I have seen highly efficient equipment in a poorly designed system waiting to fail, compromise comfort, and run inefficient. How it should be! We have supported and
promoted green building building technology since our inception, back in 2002.
We did not go green per se; we have always been green. We have introduced and
integrated many new innovative ideas and continue to be progressive in our
thinking for a better and greener way. We consider ourselves experts in our
field and offer solutions many of our competitors are not aware of or
experienced enough to attempt. We approach a building holistically, considering
the entire house envelope. We see the house as a system, and when you do one
thing, there are reactions and consequences in other parts of the house. We go
far beyond what is required by contractors, inspectors and state code officials
because at the end of the day, if the house does not perform, that is a
problem we cannot live with. It is our job to make sure that your house gets
finished right on time and a job well done in spite of the pressures and
inconveniences of the project. We are never satisfied with mediocrity. We
always strive to be better with every project!
Make it last: Durability is a Green Value.
Healthier green - built homes sell faster and go for up to 25% more. Properly
size HVAC systems in well sealed and well insulated homes leads to satisfied
and comfortable customers, lowered operating costs, reduced callbacks, and
healthier indoor air quality. When the equipment functions properly, the home
is more comfortable and the air quality is better. The homeowners notice that
immediately. Then they start to see the impact on their utility bills. Rising
energy prices make this improvement even more valauble. You will be able to
sell your house at higher prices if they are comfortable, safe and
energy-efficient. This makes it easier for sellers to stand out in a very
competitive market. Knowing how your houses "perform" will give you a
competitive advantage with your buyers. If you test the performance of your
house, you have documented proof that you have taken the extra steps to make
sure the homebuyer will enjoy a safer, comfortable and energy-efficient house.
This gives you added credibility and gives your buyers peace of mind.
